Thai Epoxy & Allied Products Company Limited was set up at the prestigious Industrial Estate of Map Ta Phut in Rayong Province of Thailand in 1990 and started its commercial production in August 1992. Thai Epoxy is a joint venture company between Aditya Birla Group, Thailand, Nissho Iwai Corporation, Japan and Tohto Kasei Company, Japan.

Aditya Birla Group has manufacturing units for Aluminium & other metals , textiles, rayon staple fibre, acrylic fibre, carbon black, rayon & nylon tyre cords, insulators, epoxy resins, sodium tripolyphosphate, hydrogen peroxide, fertilizers, cement, chemicals and petroleum products.
Nissho Iwai is one of the largest trading companies in Japan with world-wide distribution network, a total turnover of over US$ 80 billion per annum.
Tohto Kasei is the largest epoxy resin producer in Japan and sixth largest in the world.
TECs plant is one of the most modern plant, equipped with sophisticated instrumentation and state-of-the-art process technology from Tohoto Kasei. The process operations are controlled through a Distributed Control System (DCS) which eliminates the risk of human error and gives consistent quality.
Promoted by the Board of Investment in Thailand, it is the only Epoxy Resin plant in South East Asia with a production capacity of 30,000 mt per annum. Presently the company manufactures over 35 different grades of Epoxy Resins of international standards, and markets them under the tradename of EPOTEC®. The company is ISO-9002 and ISO-14001 certified.
